LADP X EDLA! SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE

Your support makes the Summer Dance Intensive with EDLA! possible.

At L.A. Dance Project, we believe every young dancer deserves a space to be seen, heard, and inspired. Our Summer Dance Intensive is a program where students are empowered to explore who they are, express what they feel, and discover what they’re capable of.

Since 2019, and with the founding support of the Eloise Susanna Gale Foundation, LADP has proudly partnered with Everybody Dance LA! (EDLA!), a nonprofit reaching over 4,000 students each year across Los Angeles, to provide high-quality intensive instruction to youth in historically under-resourced communities. Together, we are committed to expanding access to exceptional dance education for youth using movement as a tool for transformation, confidence, and connection.

LADP’s Summer Dance Intensive is an immersive, high-caliber program that brings 25 EDLA! students into LADP’s professional theater and studio environment.

Participants train five days a week, six hours a day, working closely with LADP company members, teaching artists, and renowned guest faculty. The curriculum is designed to challenge, inspire, and elevate each dancer’s technical skill and artistic voice.

Daily programming includes:

  • Ballet, modern technique classes
  • Creative movement, improvisation, and self-expression exploration
  • Guided reflection and personal development
  • Collaborative rehearsals culminating in an original performance piece

Beyond daily training, students engage in a rich lineup of masterclasses and workshops that broaden their artistic and personal perspectives including hip hop, bharatanatyam, and Korean folk dance as well as yoga, dance for camera, and college and career workshops.

The Summer Dance Intensive is designed to do more than build strong dancers, it builds confident, curious, and expressive individuals, both in the studio and beyond.
