Doug Aitken x LADP
Flags and Debris, a new artwork by artist Doug Aitken, premiered in Los Angeles in January 2021 at Regen Projects. As part of the video installation, the L.A. Dance Project collaborated with Aitken to create a series of impromptu performances staged and filmed throughout LA’s desolate industrial locations and empty urban spaces. Wrapped in the fabric artworks, the dancers movements are unique to each setting, activating the spaces with kinetic energy.
