Kinaesonata

Choreographer: Bella Lewitzky

In 1970 Bella Lewitzky choreographed Kinaesonata. Kinaesonata is a kinetic reaction to the music of Alberto Ginastera. Walter Sorell of Dance News New York said of Kinaesonata, “An all out display piece, it was danced by her beautifully trained and responsive young company at fever pitch, with bounding vigor, speed, buoyancy and joy. There were unexpected exciting, climbing lifts onto things and hips.”
